Who are OPL?

Other People's Leisure started the way a lot of good things do - two people with too many music opinions and not enough of an outlet for them. Craig A and Craig P met through Fife band 'The Draymin', bonded over a shared love of music that didn't fit neatly into any one genre, and eventually decided the best way to spend their leisure time was making their own.

The name is a nod to Trainspotting. Being from the east of Scotland, that means something to them - but there's a philosophy behind it too. Once a track is made and released, it stops being theirs. It belongs to the person on the dance floor, the commuter with headphones on, and the late night drive home. That's always been the goal: to make something that lands.

We're a live audiovisual act. The music is melodic, textured electronic - somewhere between the urgency of a festival stage and the intimacy of a late-night room - and the visuals are built and performed live alongside it. BBC Introducing Scotland has played OPL repeatedly, including an Artist of the Week feature. In August 2026, Jaguar played Fortuna on BBC Introducing on Radio 1 Dance, OPL’s first Radio 1 play.

2026 has already brought new music, live dates and more time building the audiovisual side of OPL. There’s more on the way, but the work stays at the centre of it.
